The right village at Beaches Turks & Caicos depends on your toddler and family. Beaches Turks & Caicos covers 95 acres on Grace Bay Beach and has 5 villages, 21 restaurants and an impressive 45,000-square-foot waterpark. That’s a lot to sort through.
As a travel agent, I’m often asked how to choose, so here’s how I match each village to different families.
French Village: Best for Toddler Naps

French Village is my go-to for families with babies and toddlers. It sits farthest back from the ocean, which makes it the calmest spot on the property, but it’s still only about a 7 minute stroll to the beach.
It’s also easier on the budget than some of the other villages. Lots of families land here because it’s peaceful and practical at the same time. This works well when your little traveler still takes 1 or 2 naps a day (and you’d like them to actually happen).
You’ll also love that it’s home to the main stage for the evening Sesame Street shows, and to Camp Sesame (the infant & toddler nursery).
- Vibe: Quiet, pastel buildings around a huge zero-entry pool and gardens
- Stroller access: 5/5, with flat, wide pathways and zero stairs
- Bonus: Café de Paris is right there for pastries and iced coffee

Italian Village: Best for Action Lovers

Italian Village is the busy heart of the resort. The giant central pool has swim-up bars and private cabanas, and the whole village sits right next to Pirates Island Waterpark.
The Italian Village works well when you’ve got older kiddos in the mix, or you want the pool and waterpark steps from your door.
You’ll find Bobby Dee’s in this village, a 50s-style diner serving kids’ meals, burgers, popcorn and has a 24/7 ice cream. This will be an absolute hit with toddlers!
The rooms here come with partitioned sleeping areas, so you’ve got a place to relax while your toddler naps. If they need real quiet to nap though, I’d head back to French Village.
- Vibe: Lively, central, Mediterranean luxury
- Stroller access: 4/5, with elevators in the main towers (poolside traffic can be busy at times)
- Standout: Family suites with separate kid rooms, bunk beds and X-Boxes (yes, really)
Key West Village: Best for Multigen Trips

A full kitchen and a washer/dryer on a family vacation? All the things. When I’m planning a multigenerational trip, this is where I start.
This is easiest with grandparents, cousins, or anyone who’d like a quiet morning away from the main pool music, so it’s also great with toddlers.
Key West Village feels like a calm residential neighborhood. Think pastel clapboard villas and wide paved roads.
Plus, the zero-entry pools here have a quieter atmosphere away from the loud music and splash pads.
- Vibe: Upscale, tranquil, laid-back
- Stroller access: 5/5, with ground-floor villa entries
- Standout: 3- and 4-bedroom villas with full kitchens, private plunge pools and washer/dryers

Caribbean & Seaside Villages: Best for Beach Time

These two make up the original resort core, with coconut palms, lush gardens, and classic island buildings.
They’re the closest walk to Grace Bay Beach. You can step out of a ground-floor walkout room and onto the sand!
Kids Camp Headquarters is located in Caribbean Village, making for quick drop-offs for parents to get a breather.
These villages work well when your family wants easy beach access and as little walking as possible.
- Vibe: Classic island feel, calm and boutique, with sunrise views at Seaside
- Stroller access: 3/5, because some older two-story buildings don’t have elevators
💡 Pro tip: Traveling with a double stroller? Request a ground-floor room. Very important!
Quick Village Cheat Sheet
- Toddler naps and budget: French Village
- Pool, waterpark, and big suites: Italian Village
- Grandparents and full kitchens: Key West Village
- Beach steps from your door: Caribbean or Seaside Village
Eating With Toddlers at Beaches Turks & Caicos

With 21 places to eat, you won’t ever need to leave the resort. Here’s what I tell my families:
Best buffets for toddlers: Mario’s, Marena and Reflections
Best quick options for toddlers: Mr. Mac Food Truck (mac & cheese, please!) and CURLS ‘N SWIRLS (ice cream truck)
Book on Day 1: Kimonos (hibachi)
This restaurant is in high demand, so reserve through the Beaches app or the concierge desk the day you arrive.
Date night: Sapodillas, Sky, and Le Petit Chateau
These are adults-only restaurants, so use Kids Camp evening hours and enjoy a quiet 2-hour dinner.
Sesame Street Character Breakfast: If your kids love Elmo and friends, book this paid add-on early. It’s a calm, structured meet-and-greet, with no waiting in resort lines.
Arrival Day Tips
Rooms are usually ready around 3:00 PM, so you’ll have a few hours to fill. Here’s the simple plan:
- Drop your bags: Leave your luggage with the bell desk in your village lobby.
- Change: Use the changing restrooms near the main pool or waterpark.
- Head to Pirates Island Waterpark: Splash pads, lazy river, and food trucks are waiting while your room gets ready. You’ll get a text when your room key is active.
💡 Pro tip: Skip the Mario’s buffet right after check-in, when the lines are long. Head to Bobby O’s Burger Shack in the waterpark or Barefoot by the Sea instead.
What to Pack in Your Carry-On

Personally, we never travel without a dedicated “arrival day” bag. Here’s what goes in it:
- Swimsuits, UV swim shirts and sun hats for everyone
- Reef-safe sunscreen and lip balm
- Waterproof phone pouch
- 4-5 swim diapers for day one
- Change of dry clothes and a wet bag
- Favorite toddler snacks for the 15-minute airport transfer
