My travel background
I spent much of my 20’s traveling all over the world. Some of my best memories (and my biggest self-discoveries) were on high rise buildings in Shanghai, exploring cathedrals and castles older than my concept of time throughout Europe, or watching stunning country-side scenery pass me by on a train.
My first trip abroad was a choir trip in high school across Western Europe, with my grandma as a chaperone! After graduating with a Spanish degree from La Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, my corporate career frequently took me to China (where my Spanish meant nothing).
I’ve traveled every way possible: solo, with friends, group tours, my babymoon… Now I travel with my husband and our toddler (who is an amazing flyer – phew!).
Starting Hooked on Hiatus
I started Hooked on Hiatus Travel Agency after starting my own family because I believe that having kids is the best reason to keep traveling – not to stop!
I will show you firsthand that traveling the world is still possible, and quite enjoyable with kids. Check out my blog for some inspiration!
